Every financial planning firm works differently. This page explains services we provide, and what you will pay for them.
Roseum Financial Planning is a UK Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
We provide regulated financial advice on:
Our meetings are all held online via Microsoft Teams, so there's no need to travel. Wherever you are in the UK, we can work with you.
Roseum is run by Michaela Pashley, a Chartered Financial Planner with a 17-year career.
We specialise in working with middle-class professionals looking to invest their money, review their existing pensions/investments, and plan for retirement.
A two-hour discussion via Microsoft Teams. This is provided at our expense, so costs you nothing. The purpose of the fact-find is to provide you with all the information you need to decide if you want to purchase advice from us, and for us to gather the information we need from you to provide that advice.
This process typically takes 20-40 hours and involves analysing and evaluating your financial position, researching the market for the most suitable solutions, and producing a written suitability report containing our recommendations, why you should take them, and any disadvantages and risks.
Every financial plan is formally "peer reviewed" by a Master's qualified investment advice specialist before being provided to you. This ensures you are receiving robust, suitable advice that stands up to scrutiny, every time.
We'll get back together for another meeting via Microsoft Teams. This lasts around an hour. It enables us to present your advice, answer any questions, and ask if you want to take the advice. If you do, we can complete the paperwork and implement the plan.
We'll meet with you at least once a year via Microsoft Teams to complete a review of your financial circumstances and plan. We will issue new advice in a fresh suitability report, even if the advice is to stay put. This is an ongoing process of continual analysis, evaluation, and review.
Quality financial advice isn't cheap. You can expect to part with well into 4 figures. However, it is an investment that could quite literally pay dividends! This section explains our charges.
This is the fee you pay for us providing your initial advice. This is calculated as 2% of the first £500,000 of the value of the portfolio on which we’re providing financial advice, and 0.5% on any amount above this. This is subject to a minimum fee of £1,500 and a maximum fee of £30,000 (or 5% of your total investment, whichever is lower).
Example Initial Advice Fees:
• For an investment of £60,000, the minimum initial charge of £1,500 would apply.
• For an investment of £250,000, the initial charge would be 2% (£5,000).
• For an investment of £600,000, the initial charge would be 2% of the first £500,000 (£10,000) plus 0.5% of the remaining £100,000 (£500) for a total of £10,500.
The Initial Advice Fee can be either paid to us directly by you, or be facilitated by the product provider we recommend at the start of your investment.
Fixed Fees
At our discretion, we may agree to complete work on a fixed-fee basis, providing certainty of cost for you.
Our Initial Advice Fee is payable regardless of whether you proceed with our recommendations, within thirty (30) days of the date of your Suitability Report.
Most of our clients have complicated circumstances initially, but once the initial plan is set up, their situation is much simpler. Most of our clients are therefore on our "essential" ongoing service, priced at 0.5% of the value of your investment per annum. This buys:
• An annual online financial review and written review of investment performance.
• Telephone and email access to your adviser.
Clients with complex ongoing circumstances who require more proactive or bespoke ongoing advice may be charged up to 1%.
Note: As the ongoing charge is based on %, it will increase in terms of £ if your portfolio grows in value.
Example Ongoing Advice Fee
For an end of year value of £500,000, on the Essential Service charged at 0.5%, the ongoing advice fee equates to £2,500 for the year. This is automatically deducted from the investment portfolio. The charge is split across 12 monthly payments.
